Kensington Launches Versatile, Convenient Keyboard and Mouse during CES 2015

New KP400 Switchable Keyboard and Pro Fit Wired Windows 8 Mouse Deliver Rich Features and Usability for Mobile Users

Today, at CESKensington, a worldwide leader in delivering smart. safe. simple. computing accessories, today announced the KP400 Switchable Keyboard and Kensington Pro Fit® Wired Windows® 8 Mouse, two new versatile and convenient accessories in Kensington’s complete line up of solutions for the mobile user. The new Kensington mobile accessories will be on display at CES ShowStoppers table F15.

Employees and casual users alike are increasingly using multiple, mobile computing devices in the office and on the road to enhance business productivity and give them greater freedom in how they interact and do business. While the mobile experience is enriched, companies often struggle to provide an integrated computing solution when employees return to their main desk workstations. Kensington is enhancing the BYOD experience for customers with a new keyboard and mouse that adapts to multiple mobile devices for greater efficiency and ease of use in a multi-device environment.

Today’s users need to type on a variety of devices, from their Windows PC to tablets and smartphones, running on different operating systems such as Android or iOS. With the ability to alternate between wired and Bluetooth connectivity, the Kensington KP400 Switchable Keyboard lets office computer users work with a laptop, a tablet, or even a smartphone together so that they can take productivity to a new level. The keyboard is full-sized and includes a numeric keypad, providing a professional typing experience regardless of the device it’s used with.  The keyboard comes with standard Windows layout that users are already familiar with, so the user can install the keyboard with confidence to start using it, the way they want, right away.

With Windows 8, users have a wide array of options when it comes to getting the most out of their operating system, combining touchscreen and input devices like no other. The Pro Fit® Wired Windows® 8 Mouse features a multi-function gesture button that lets users perform six specific actions that typically are accomplished with a finger swipe. The mouse has a high-definition 1800 DPI sensor that optically tracks hand movements for precision control. With two buttons and a scroll wheel, the comfortable, mobile design of the mouse is optimized for both right-handers and left-handers and offers Plug & Play installation.
