Kensington Appoints David MacLeod as Director of Sales and Marketing at ACCO Brands Canada

MacLeod to Manage Sales, Marketing and Product Management within the Canadian IT Channel Marketplace for Kensington Computer Products Division

Kensington, a worldwide leader in delivering smart. safe. simple. computing accessories, today announced the appointment of David MacLeod as Director of Sales and Marketing at ACCO Brands Canada. As such, he will be responsible for channel sales, marketing and product management for the Kensington Computer Products division. The position was newly created within Kensington’s Canadian office as a strategic business unit inside ACCO Brands Canada. MacLeod will report to Bob Hodan, President and General Manager of ACCO Brands Canada.

MacLeod brings proven sales leadership to Kensington, with 20 years of experience building long-term opportunities and relationships within a global sales, marketing, and business development capacity. “We are extremely fortunate to have someone with MacLeod’s expertise and depth of experience taking on this important new role within ACCO Brands Canada,” said Hodan. “His strategic leadership ability will help us align sales, marketing, and product management within the Canadian IT channel marketplace.”

Prior to joining Kensington, MacLeod was Director of Sales, Systems Business Group, Canadian Distribution for ASUS Service Canada, Inc., where he was awarded the ASUS Outstanding Performance Award for team quota attainment and business development. He also previously served as President and CEO of Hold Fast Global Consulting, Senior Director and Canadian Country Manager for Allied Telesis Inc., and Vice President of Sales for Etilize Inc.

In his last role as Director of Sales at ASUS Computer (Canada), MacLeod spent the past five years growing and developing ASUS Systems (notebooks and tablets) business in both B2C and B2B, earning double digit market share in a highly competitive space. MacLeod's background includes distribution responsibilities with both Tech Data and Ingram Micro Canada, 3PL supply-chain logistics with UPS Supply Chain Solutions, data aggregation with Etilize Inc. (a GfK Company), and he was Senior Director of North American Sales for networking manufacturer Allied Telesis prior to joining the management team at ASUS Computer International. MacLeod received a diploma in Business Administration–Marketing from Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario.
