Install and open Kensington Konnect™ on your MacBook.
Connect the dock.
The left button is pre-set to Do Not Disturb.
Press once to enable (red light), press again to disable (no light).

Photo Backup Button (Save to MacBook)

Install and open Kensington Konnect™ on your MacBook, then connect the dock.
The right button is pre-set to Photo Backup.
Connect your iPhone/iPad to the 30W USB-C port.
Unlock your device to sync with the dock.
Wait for the blue light, then press the Photo Backup button.
Photos will save, to the default folder on your MacBook.

Note: If unplugged, backup pauses. Reconnect to resume.

Photo Backup Button (Save to External Storage)

Install and initialize your M.2 SSD (use APFS for macOS).
In Konnect™, set Backup Path to the M.2 SSD.
Connect your iPhone/iPad to the 30W USB-C port.
Unlock your device to sync with the dock.
Wait for the blue light, then press the Photo Backup button.
Photos will save directly to your M.2 SSD.

Note: Use exFAT for Windows/macOS, or APFS for best macOS performance.

Two buttons are pre-set for macOS: Do Not Disturb (left) and Photo Backup (right).
To assign a different action, click either tab and select another function.
Your chosen feature will appear on the tab.
To restore defaults, select 'Reset All' (returns to Do Not Disturb + Photo Backup).

Choose the right M.2 SSD

Search using the keywords: NVMe PCle Gen4, M.22280
The dock supports NVMe PCle Gen 4 x 4 (backward compatible with PCle 3.0).
Maximum form factor: 22mm x 80mm x 3.7mm (do not exceed this size)
Compatible with M.2 PCle interface: 2280 / 2260 / 2242 / 2230
Not compatible with M.2 SATA interface

How to install the M.2 SSD

Watch the installation video before starting.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the side screw.
Lift the top cover—start from the side near the buttons, then lift the other side.
Locate the M.2 screw, remove it, and align it with the notch on your M.2 SSD.
Insert the SSD at a slight angle, press it down, and secure it with the screw.
Close the covers.
Format/initialize the SSD after installation.

Caution: Do not touch or remove the SSD immediately after use.
