Kensington Named a CRN Top 10 Hot Technology Product for SMBs

Kensington USB 3.0 Docking Station is Ideal Universal Cable for Connecting Multiple Devices for Mobile Employees

Kensington, a worldwide leader in delivering smart. safe. simple. computing accessories, today announced that the Kensington USB 3.0 Docking Station has been named one of the 10 Hot Technology products for SMBs by CRN Magazine.

The Kensington USB 3.0 Docking Station with DVI, HDMI and VGA Video is a one-cable universal solution for laptops to access multiple peripherals. According to CRN, “this is an especially important device as more companies’ employees are mobile, but still need the same connectivity to other devices such as their home desktop.”  In addition, Ultrabooks™ and other super slim laptop computers like the Apple MacBook Air deliver sleek looks. However, many of these ultra-slim devices have a limited number of ports for connectivity. As a result, users are constantly plugging and unplugging peripherals to connect to the devices they need. The Kensington USB 3.0 Dual Docking Station turns a single USB 3.0 port into six USB ports, in addition to other audio, video, and network ports. With one hot pluggable connection, users have access to all of their peripherals already setup in the environment, which may include printer, external drive, scanner, keyboard and mouse, speaker, microphone, Gigabit Ethernet network, and even two external high resolution monitors.

“This recognition speaks to our success in providing businesses with desktop, mobility and security solutions to help them increase productivity and overcome the connectivity limitations of thinner computing devices,” said, Louie Yao, Global Product Manager, Kensington. “Employees today are highly mobile and need the same connectivity, whether they are at the office, home, or on the move. Kensington’s USB Dual Docking Station gives users accessibility to all of their devices and peripherals with a single USB 3.0 connection.”
