Continued Significant Investment, as well as Fun and Innovative Programs, Drive 210% Channel Growth

Kensington, a worldwide leader in delivering smart. safe. simple. computing accessories, announced today that Ben Thacker, Vice President at Kensington, has been named to the prestigious list of the 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs. The influential executives on this annual list represent the most powerful leaders in the IT channel who hold direct responsibility for driving growth and revenue for their organizations through their indirect channel partners. Individuals are selected for inclusion based on their track record of channel accomplishments, standing in the industry, dedication to the partner community, and plans for driving future business innovation and channel growth.

The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs have demonstrated their enduring support for the channel by consistently defending, promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.

Thacker was recognized and included once again on this year’s CRN Channel Chief listing due to his dedication to ensuring the continued success and growth of Kensington’s channel partners, in addition to the Kensington Channel Partner Program itself which grew it’s new member product training and sign-ups by over 210% during the past year.  Under Thacker’s leadership, Kensington’s channel teams have worked hard to align inventory to POS data for better inventory turns and reductions in overall returns.  In addition, Kensington included innovative and fun partner initiatives, such as “The Adventures of Agent K” marketing campaign, a fun spy-themed product training program.

“Each year, our editors carefully vet an extensive group of highly accomplished channel executives to highlight those exemplary individuals who earn the mantle of CRN Channel Chief. These executives strive to advance the success and standing of the channel community within their organizations. The 2015 CRN Channel Chiefs lead by example and serve as valuable advocates to help ensure the health and longevity of the IT channel. We applaud their accomplishments and look forward to their continued success,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company.

“Our channel means everything to me.  We rely on our distribution and reselling partners to promote our brand, share our solutions, explain our products, and represent Kensington as if they were Kensington employees.  We will continue to invest time in creating fun marketing programs that help make our channel partners Kensington experts.  We will continue to invest our time and efforts into growing our brand and revenues by partnering with great reselling and distribution partners.  We will continue to get better and better for our channel,” said Thacker.  “On behalf of my US organization, we are sincerely honored to be recognized again this year by CRN.  We are indeed proud. ”
