Kensington®, a worldwide leader of desktop computing and mobility solutions for IT, business and home office professionals and The Professionals’ Choice™, today announced that Ben Thacker has been appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Kensington branded products globally.
Ben will have responsibility for leading Global Product Management, Development and Supply Chain, along with U.S. Sales and Marketing for the Kensington and OEM Channels. He will continue to be based at the San Mateo, California, office.
Ben originally joined Kensington as head of Global Product Management and U.S. Sales and Marketing. Ben then led the transition of the business to a new Product Development center while setting up a new Product Development team in Taiwan. Last year, he also assumed all Global Marketing responsibilities across the Kensington business.
Before joining Kensington in 2013, Ben was Vice President for global enterprise channels at Belkin. Prior to Belkin, Ben spent three years with Asus Computer as Vice President, North America Distribution, Sales & Product Management – Systems/Smartphone; and was Global Business Group Manager for all of HP Notebook accessories during his six-year tenure there.

Ben has an MBA from Rice University and graduated cum laude while earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Riverside. He is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
