A: Yes, the UH1500P dock is compatible with computing devices such as laptops and 2-in-1s that feature at least one full-function USB-C® port supporting USB-C® Alt Mode.
A: Yes, if your laptop has a USB-C® port that supports Power Delivery, the UH1500P will charge it using the USB-C® power supply unit from your laptop or a Kensington® 100W USB-C® GaN Power Adapter.To confirm whether your USB-C® port supports Power Delivery, please check your laptop's specifications or feel free to contact us.
A: Yes, the UH1500P supports USB Power Delivery with up to 85W of power pass-through. This can be achieved using your laptop's power supply (85W or greater) or an optional 100W power adapter, which is sold separately.
A: The UH1500P supports Windows 10 or later, macOS 11 or later, iPadOS 13 or later, and Samsung DeX®
A: No, the UH1500P only supports triple displays on Windows systems running version 10 or later. Most Windows laptops can handle up to three displays, but it's important to check your laptop's specifications. Some models, such as those in the Snapdragon series, may only support dual displays.
A: No, your MacBook can only support one external monitor with this dock, up to 4K @ 60Hz. While your MacBook will display one screen natively, the external monitor will show a second display. If you connect additional external displays, they will simply mirror the content of the primary external monitor.
No, the UH1500P dock is plug-and-play, so no additional software is required. Simply connect it, and you're ready to go.
A: Yes, the dock is compatible with laptops featuring Thunderbolt™ 3, Thunderbolt™ 4, and Thunderbolt™ 5 ports. However, it will not utilize the maximum bandwidth of Thunderbolt technology (40Gbps); instead, it will deliver up to 5Gbps, which is what the dock supports.
A: Unfortunately, if your USB-C® port does not support DisplayPort® Alt Mode, you won't be able to receive video output. In this case, the SD4781P EQ USB-C® & USB-A Dual 4K Docking Station would be a better option for you.
A: The dock will function properly for video and data transfer (including audio and Ethernet), but it will not be able to provide charging to the connected laptop.
