Kensington, the computer accessories specialists, has launched the Auto Kit for iPod, which allows drivers to play their tunes safely over an FM frequency, making it the ideal summer driving companion.
The Auto Kit holds the iPod in a secure mount which is attached to the car windscreen, so drivers can select their favourite tunes without taking their eyes off the road. Tunes can be transmitted over any available FM frequency whilst the device is also charged via the car’s cigarette lighter.
“As we approach the summer holidays, large numbers of people will be taking to the road, playing music to pass the time,” said Karen Hicks, product manager at Kensington. “With the recent ban on using a mobile phone while driving, and road safety campaigners pushing for further legislative reform, safe driving is a hot topic for the government and users alike. The Auto Kit adheres to safe driving practices and also delivers excellent sound quality.”
Available from June 2007, Kensington’s Auto Kit for iPod retails at £59.99 and will be available at various online retailers.
