Kensington to ‘Partner-It’ with European consumer technology resellers

Kensington, the leading mobile computing accessories provider, is launching ‘Partner-It’, its first European distributor and reseller partner program. Initially launching in the UK, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany, the web-based program (www.kensingtonpartner-it.com) is designed to educate and reward Kensington’s resellers, and attract new partners to work with the vendor. As a result of the program launch, Kensington aims to work with 500 more resellers by the end of the year.

The three-tier program will target:

  • Distributors (wholesalers)
  • Premier resellers (those who already sell a substantial amount of Kensington products and have a dedicated account manager)
  • Associate resellers (new resellers who sell a smaller amount of Kensington product, who can aspire to become premier resellers through the Partner-It program)

Each tier will receive tailored promotions, programs and benefits aimed specifically at them and their customers. For example, distributors will be encouraged to ‘refer a reseller’ to earn rewards, while resellers will be encouraged to ‘learn and earn’ about Kensington’s products, with a ‘sell and earn’ promotion available to Premier resellers.

Kensington was traditionally known for its industry-leading locks in the security range, though recently has seen success with its full range of accessories to support the mobile computer user, from SlimBladeÔ mice to LiquidFMÔ Transmitters. Through the program, Kensington aims to inform and incentivise partners to both boost security sales and increase cross-product selling.

“The Kensington Partner-It program is open to all our IT distributors and resellers and will enable us to build stronger links with the channel community and broaden their awareness of what we offer,” said George Foot, European Sales and Marketing Director. “With attractive financial incentives for getting involved, we’re confident the program will increase our engagement with our reseller community, helping them to increase sales.”
